In preparation for my big move to New York (Nov. 1st) I am making many changes in my life.
I feel like God is blessing me with the ability to walk into a “New Season”. Meaning that he is giving me the opportunity to start over with many things and go to a new place for a complete change in my life and I have to take full advantage of it.
So with this new season also comes many changes and a lot of growth mentally. I feel like, in order for me to be prepared for such a huge shift in my life I have to mentally become strong and more disciplined. I have to declutter my life in every way and start living with less worries and less static.
One way I plan to do this is to remove social media from my life for 3 weeks (i.e. Instagram, twitter, snapchat, Facebook). Although I love social media I feel like it clutters my life and I believe that it even becomes obsession and habit to check my news feed during my spare time or even when I have no time to spare at all. And just like any other addiction…rehab is necessary.
no social media. And actually, I have let go of social media for the last few days and already I feel better. 🙂
So a friend of mine gave me a clever idea (Thanks twin!). She suggested the brilliant idea of giving the passwords of my social media accounts to a close friend and having that friend change the codes until my 3 weeks are up.
Amazing idea right!? Well I think so. This way if I have an urge to re-download the Instagram app…I wont because I can’t even access my account if I wanted to because I don’t have the password.
During this 3 weeks before my big move to New York I am disciplining myself in other ways as well. The plan is to leave Georgia (that is where I am currently living) as the best version of myself that I can possibly be so that I can officially TAKE OVER NEW YORK!
And of course I know you guys will be here to read all about it!
Talk to you soon…
Peace. Love. Hopee…..
